The midfielder is confident of winning the title that was last won by Kipaji FC.

Nairobi City Stars skipper Anthony Muki Kimani single-handedly sent FIFA Best to the final of the Dennis Oliech Cup after scoring the lone goal in the 1-0 win over Dagoretti North Hotstars.

Muki nonchalantly slotted the ball into the net six minutes after the restart of the second half when Clement Huncho threaded in a neat through ball leaving him with all the time to pick his spot.

Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Muki was elated to have scored the winner that sent his team to the final and was confident of winning the title in the final slated for Sunday 15 August.

"Scoring the winner is a dream for every footballer but at the end of the day, we as the seniors are giving back to the community because we try to inspire the younger generation because if I can everybody is able to do it,"

"I'm very confident we will win the tournament as we have really been rotating our squad and we have maintained top performances because nobody wants to miss out on such a chance," said Muki.

FIFA Best has a number of Nairobi City Stars players in their books including, Harriet Mungai, Oliver Maloba, Elvis Noor, Wesley Onguso and Eric Ombija.

The former Bandari midfielder lauded the tournament that has provided youth in the area with a platform to showcase their talent and cited giving back to the community as the reason for having a number of City Stars players.

"Most talents are in the hood, what I can say is that even the teams that were eliminated in the first round have a chance for their players to be scouted because it does not matter if you get to the final, what matters is your performance on the field and one game's effort is what it takes to know a good player,"

"This is a tournament for the community and you always want to give back to where you come from, whether you are on the field or outside," added Muki.

FIFA Best will face the winner between Bundes FC and Mashimoni in the final set for Sunday afternoon at the NCC Grounds.
